Yes, Three Candles is a good journal. I discovered it when I was tracking down a lot of John Sweet's poetry. Haven't heard of the second journal so thanks for passing that on.

hey, yeah. No Tell Motel...

i like the approach. a bit of a broadside, a bit of a verse daily thing. although to be honest, i think i've liked the No Tell Motel selections lately a hell of a lot more than what verse daily has been offering up. 'ick' has been my usual reaction.

on Covey: i thought the airplane poem was great. it might not be linear (is it linear?) but at least it doesn't totally eschew narrative like the "Reveal" poems do. lol, and i guess i'm revealing something about my aesthetics right there. i liked Nay, Orpheus perhaps most of all. it takes up some nice strands from the past and does something interesting with them. something other than jettisoning, other than (fully) appropriating. a rich piece.
interesting too there's also a 'flush' in that one. i wonder if he's trying to tell us something about our toilets...
