Doris Day

Mr. Bones is talking
to Doris Day
in the subway

of the Monet,
a street car
named desire

flies underground
swaying to and fro
(and that

ain’t short for afro)
like subway cars
are wont to do.

In a station
of the Metro,
Angela Davis

on a trumped up charge.
Doris signs the autograph
for Mr. Bones.

As she walks away
her behind
is 1956

and somewhere Rock Hudson
sucks on
a cock.

You sly devil you.

It reminds me of a painting -- I forget the artist - that paints icons that were never really together in films like Monroe and Elvis.

clever, love the humor. Some clever stuff here. I'd drop "on" in the last strophe.
