Fuck the Christians and the Muslims and the Jews.
Fuck the racist of any color.
Fuck the Democrats and the Republicans.
Fuck the Capulets and the Montagues.
Last night I dreamt we pushed
the earth in unison
and made the galaxy spin backwards,
while God danced to a tune by Marvin Gaye
and handed yellow roses.
But that was not what we did today
nor what we did
the day before.

Just amazing, Keros. Reminds me of some of the poems by the great guerrillero poets of the 20th century, Roque Dalton, Leonel Rugama, and the others. Great poem.
stunning
Diego -- esta poesia esta en algo.
Si.

Hey...a Roque Dlaton reference! Lyle, I was in El Salvador last year, where he is an icon.
Keros, I really like this. The image of God dancing to a Marvin Gaye song is great. The first three words startle me--not sure if it's in a good or bad way---but I like the closing stanza a lot and the shift between stanzas one and two. I'm commenting here after reading Pris' call for more comments. Often I read and enjoy the poems and am just too lazy to respond. Mea culpa.
reminds me of a TOOL tune... Ænema
very nice, harry
I went to see the movie Crash on Monday night. Your poem reminds me very much of it.
Fuck you Keros and fuck everybody else!(just kidding).Great poem.
Wow- thank you all for all the wonderful responses.
What's Going On
Marvin Gaye
Mother, mother, there's too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother, there's far too many of you dying
You know we'ver got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today, hey
Father, father, we don't need to escalate
War is not the answer, for only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today
CHORUS #1:
Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
Oh what's going on, what's going on
Yeah, what's going on, ah, what's going on
Ahhh....
I just plain love it!
